Top amateur golfers will be heading for Coronation and Bendor Trophy title, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series that tees off this Saturday on par 73 Nakuru golf club.
Following the conclusion for the Trans Nzoia Open two weeks ago, amateurs golfers will be searching for points ahead of next year’s Kenya Open Golf Championships.
The 54 hole tournament has attracted top golfers like defending champion Mike Kisia, Trans Nzoia winner Matthew Wahome, home member John kamais Eldoret’s Aron Kitur and Andrew Chelogoi.
Kisia won last year’s title after firing two under par 144 where they played 36 holes away from the 34 due to heavy rainfall in the second round and has exhibited confidence that he will be defending his title in the tournament that tees off on Saturday with two rounds of 36 holes before ending on Sunday with 18 holes.
“I have been out for sometime but I will hoping to defend my title no matter what happens. This year I have not compete in many meetings but I believe in what I do, coming home with a win,” said Kisia.
Wahome promised to surprise many the same way he did in Kitale two weeks ago.
