Samuel Asati and George Ooro will captain Shujaa, the national rugby men’s 7s team at the Dubai and Cape Town, the opening rounds of HSBC World Rugby series set for next weekend in Dubai and South Africa.
Today, head coacj Kevin Wambua announced the final squad for the two legs that will be played between Saturday November 30th and Sunday December 1st in Dubai before the Cape Town 7s on December 7th to 8th.
The pair replaces Vincent Onyala and Tony Omondi who will not be with the national team.
Kevin Wekesa from Kabras Sugar will be making his debut for the national team.
Kenya returns to the top ruby after playing in the Challenger Series last season following the relegation from the prestigious core events in May 2023 after narrowly losing 12-5 to Canada in the relegation playoffs final at Twickenham Stadium in London.
