Athletics Kenya through the Chief Administrative Officer Susan Kamau stopped all athletes to cancel all international races they had signed for this month until further notice.
She wrote: “Following the directive from the government of Kenya, and due to the global outbreak of Covid-19, Athletics Kenya hereby informs you that all clearances and travels to international events for athletes, support personnel has been suspended until further notice.”
“In a bid to safeguard the athletes and consequently the country form the virus. We request you to cancel all travel arrangements for the next one month pending further notice.”
