Aubameyang double hands Gabon victory against Kenya at FIFA World Cup qualifiers

Former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagged a brace when Gabon defeated Kenya in today’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers played at the Nyayo National stadium.

In the pool F encounter, hosts Kenya lost 1-2 to Gabon in the 6th match as they seek to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Aubameyang was first on target in the 16th minute before doubling in the 52nd minute afer converting from spot kick before harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga halved the score in the 62nd minute.

With victory, Gabon leads the pool on 15 points, two better than Ivory Coast who have played one match less.

This was the second match for Benni McCrathy to lose after Ivory Coast in the second encounter in the six-pool battle.
