Babu replaces Ogai at Western Stima

Salim Babu has replaced Paul Ogai as the head coach for Kenya Premier league (KPL) side Western Stima after the club parted ways with the later today.

The former SoNy Sugar Babu takes over from Ogai who yesterday played to a barren draw away to Nzoia Sugar FC in Bungoma.

Ogai joined Stima midway through their second tier last season and guided the team to promotion back to the top flight Kenyan Premier League. They had been demoted one year before.

In his debut top-flight season, he won the December coach of the month award.

Stima sits in 14th position out of the 18-team KPL log after 24 matches. They were re-admitted in the top flight at the end of the 2018 second tier season after winning the FKF National Super League.

Babu, who joins from second tier side Migori Youth FC, will have his former club SoNy Sugar FC as his first test with the Kisumu side
