Shield Cup champions Bandari played to a goalless draw against Sudanese side Al Ahly Shendi in the Caf Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg played at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani today.
With the results at Home, Bandari needs a draw of any goal in the return leg to progress into the second round.
coach Bernard Mwalala blamed the result on his midfield, saying they did not create any realistic chances.
