Bandari hires Odhiambo

Bandari FC has rehired Ken Odhiambo as the new head coach taking over from Twahir Muhiddin.

Twahir, who has been acting as head coach has retained his position as Technical Director’s role.

In a statement the club: “Ken Odhiambo has been named Bandari FC coach for the second time.”

”He will take over from Twahir Muhddin who will be returning to his initial capacity as the technical director.”

”I feel so great to be back home. I call it home because I stayed for more than four years here and I understand the entire culture of Bandari Football Club,” he tells the Club’s media team.

Twahir was quickly roped in midway through January 2020 due to the team’s disastrous spell that had seen them take a 2-1 fall at the hands of Tusker. It was their third loss in five games for the team that just recently represented the country in CAF continental games. He had taken over from Bernard Mwalala who was then asked to step aside.

Mwalala had been at the helm since mid-2018 and had good tidings from the Mombasa side until things began to fall apart after their elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup. Muhiddin, who had been technical director all this while, was then asked to briefly take over.
