Bankers affair at Nandi Governor’s Cup in Kapsabet

It will all Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) at the inaugural Nandi County governor’s Cup at the semifinals currently going on at Kapsabet Showground in Nandi County.

The KCB will be facing off with KCB B as they seek to win the title. KCB, which qualified to play at the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) play-offs after topping the standing, will be chasing their second title after winning in Vihiga.

In other women semifinal, Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) will be facing off with Prison Kenya, renewing their rivalry.

In men’s results, KVF champions General Service Unit (GSU) won all their pool A matches top the standing. The champions edged out Western prison in straight sets of 25-20, 25-22 and 25-14 before beating Kenya National Hospital (KNH) with the similar set of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-20 in another pool A match, Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) were 3-2 (12-25, 25-21, 19-25, 34-32 and 8-15.

Kenya Prison won all their pool B encounters to match into the quarterfinals with ease. In the opener, they defeated Equity Bank 3-1 (25-22, 25-16, 22-25 and 25-20), beat Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) 3-0 (25-13, 25-17 and 25-19).

The bankers, after losing the opener, they went ahead to beat Strathmore University 3-0 in 25-20, 25-16 and 25-23) followed by a 3-0 win over KAA in 25-17, 25-12 and 25-18 as Strathmore consoled with a 3-1 win over KAA in25-22, 25-19, 20-25 and 25-18.
