Beach Volleyball teams jet out for Commonwealth Qualifiers in Accra

Kenya Beach Volleyball teams left the country this morning ahead of the Commonwealth Games qualifiers in Accra, Ghana.

Both men and Women’s Teams jetted out in search of the tickets at the Queens Games that will be staged in Birmingham, Great Britain.

The Women’s team are All Africa Gamea Silver Medalists, Continental CUP Champions and Africa’s sole representatives in the just-concluded 2021 Olympic Games.

The men are ranked 6th in Africa and fast rising. On hand to see off the team at 2.30 am was the KVF Deputy President Charles Nyaberi.

The KVF Secretary General is the Chef de Mission while Mududa-Waweu and Sammy Mulinge are the Team Managers of a squad that will be coached by Sally Wanjala and Patrick Owino.

The team undertook a 2-week Residential Training at Azul Margerita Hotel in Mombasa. “The future is bright for Kenyan Beach Volley!”, quipped Nyaberi.
