Reigning Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) champions Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) former Champions General Service Unit (GSU), former Champions Kenya Prisons and newcomers Chema have stormed into the semifinals of the ongoing Kenya Cup at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.
Kenya Prisons edged out Administration Police (APK) in straight sets at 25-16, 25-16, 25-14 to become the first team to qualify and book Jeremiah Mukopi’s Chema at the semis who beat Kenya Airport Police Unit (KAPU) in similar sets at 25-20, 25-15 and 25-15.
GSU stunned Equity Bank 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-19) and will take on KPA who came from a set down to beat Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) side with 3-1 in 21-25, 30-28, 29-27 and 25-17.
In women, former champions and Kenya Cup champions KCB will take on perennial rivals Kenya Prisons in the semi final while DCI will lock horns with champions Kenya Pipeline (KPC).
