Wilson Bii started his road to Tokyo Paralympics Games on a winning note at the ongoing World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Tunis, Tunisia.
The Nandi based runner, competing in T11 led a 1-2 podium finish for Kenyan runners in the 5,000m race.
He bagged first gold for Kenya in the opening day in 15:56.20 ahead of Erick Kiptoo who finished second timing 15:59.62 for silver in an all Kenyan affair.
Elgeyo Marakwet’s Rodgers Kiprop failed to make to the podium after finishing 5th in the 5,000m clocking 16:13.59.
The event is part of Tokyo Paralympics qualifiers for the quadrennial event set for August 24-September 5
