Three volleyball players will be making their debut in the Malkia Strikers team ahead of Africa Women volleyball championships set to serve off next week in Kigali, Rwanda.
Head coach Paul Bitok named Esther Mutinda (setter), Veronica Adhiambo (middle blocker) and Yvonne Sinaida (left attacker) will be making their way into the team.
Bitok said that after the Olympics Games competition, it’s now time they start the journey of building a new generation of young players.
“I would like to congratulate the new players for making it to the team as we start another journey together,” said Bitok.
He said that it might be a tough in transitioning for the team but with consistent training and determination, Kenya will always remain to be a champion.
“For the experienced players it’s also your duty to welcome your new sisters to the team and encourage them as they face upcoming challenges. I also take this opportunity to encourage each individual to give all your best so that you build your name and became a star by yourself. These can only be achieved by straight hard work and discipline. I wish the best to you all,” he said.
