Bunyore Starlets defeated Kangemi Starlets to lift the FKF Division One title during the finals played today at the Nakuru ASK Ground.
Bunyore from Vihiga County won the Zone A title and Kangemi Zone B with both teams earning an automatic promotion into the Kenya Women Premier League that kicks off in three weeks’ time.
The champions broke the deadlock in the 36th minute through Susan Malda into break with 1-0 up and on resumption, Fasila Adhiambo leveled in the 65th minute and took the lead courtesy of Mariam Susan in the 75th minute but Sharon Amayi scored the second for Bunyore to level, forcing the match into the penalties.
