Bounou save penalties as Morocco beat Spain at World Cup

Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou saved two penalties when his country defeated Spain to qualify into the quarterfinals of the ongoing Fifa World Cup in Doha, Qatar.

Bounou saved Carlos Soler and Sergio Busquets to hand Morocco a 3-1 win through the penalties following a barren draw in normal and extra time.

Moroccan Abdelhamid Sabir converted the opening penalty for a 1-0 lead before Spaniard Pablo Sarabia missed the opener by hitting the post then Hakim Ziyech doubled the lead for Morocco with Bounou saving Soler penalty to extend a 2-0 lead.

With the victory, Morocco will face off with the winner between Portugal and Switzerland
