The late athletics coach James Seurei will be laid to rest on Friday in his home in Eldoret.
Seurei, who died on Friday night was serving as the Athletics Kenya Turbo sub county has been raised as the best coach after hanging his running spikes.
The veteran coach who competed for Posta Kenya in his heydays has a running son, Benson Kiplagat Seurei ho turns up for Bahrain.
Rose Tata said that Seurei was very instrumental when it came to masters championships, starting from Kenya to Africa and the world masters championships were at some point he was an athlete before coaching the masters.
“I knew him and we seriously worked together during the 2016 World Masters championships in Barthes, Australia. By then he was a coach. He did his work very well,” said Tata.
On leadership, Letting said that due to his nature of work, he managed to hold onto the office with dignity.
“Being voted a chairman of a sub county is a sign of leadership and that is what he did very well. He was a great man,” said Letting.
Letting also said that Seuei will be laid to rest at his home on Friday.
