Experienced Cameroon side the Indomitable Lionesses dominated against newcomers Malawi at the 2026 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) that came to a close today in Morocco.
With all goals scored in the first half, Marie Ngah scored a brace with a goal from Naomi Eto handed Cameroon 3-0 win over Malawi to secure their maiden Cup title despite playing at the finals three times-2004, 2014 and 2016.
The Vakentine Nguele coached side initially, Cameroon defeated Nigeria and hosts Morocco in the quarter and semifinals respectively to book for the final against Malawi who beat Ghana and Algeria in quarters and semifinals in that order
