Kenya captain John Lejirma is optimistic that team team will post good results at the Region four golf championships that will be played at the Kigali Golf resort and Villas in Kigali, Rwanda.
Coming from Kenya Railways club, Lejirma said that the team is in a great shape and ready for title defence.
“I am confident that the team is in great shape, and we will come back with the trophy,” said Lejirma.
The three day event will tee off on October 4th to 6th and Lejirma will be leading the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships series leader Michael karanga from Kiambu, Elvis Muigua (Kiambu) and vice captain Adel Balala (Nyali) for the title defence.
Last year, team Kenya reclaimed the title played in Ethiopia and will be facing off with hosts Rwanda, former champions Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, South Sudan, Seychelles.
Chris Kinuthia is the tournament Director for the Kenya Golf Union under the tutelage of John Van Liefland.
The team is expected to leave the country on Wednesday October 2nd.
