While women champions GOA, which is in second position in the 9-team league with eight points from six matches, will have a date with third Kenyatta University (KU).

Kenya Roll Ball Federation vice president Geoffrey Barasa said that the league is heading into the homestretch hoping for a competitive league at the end of the season that was interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic that has rocked the world of sports.

Barasa said that the end is supposed to end in the third weekend of July.

“We started our league in February before we were forced to stop again due to the upsurge of coronavirus, then we resumed in May. We are hoping that there will be no more stoppage and the league will end between the weekend of 23rd and 24th this month,” said Barasa.

As the man in charge of fixtures and running of the league, Barasa said they are supposed to host the East Africa championships while Rwanda is set to host the Africa championships within this year.

“As a matter of fact, we are supposed to host the East Africa Championships in August then travel to Rwanda for Africa championships but the coronavirus has put us in a limbo. We don’t know if the two events will happen or not but we are prepared for any outcome,” said Barasa adding that the World Cup was also set for this year but there is no communication until now.
