Kenya Basketball champions Nairobi City Thunder will be hoping to impress at the Basketball Africa League set to kick off on May 17-25 in Kigali, Rwanda.
Making their debut at the continental championships, the Brad Ibs coaches Thunder will be hoping to shine at the East Africa conference in group stages where the Kenyan side will be up against other debutants Made By Basketball (MBB) from South Africa, Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya and hosts Armée Patriotique Rwandaise Basketball of rwanda.
Top two teams from the region will join Egyptian side Al Ittihad, Nigerian Rivers Hoopers, and South African sides US Monastir, Petro de Luanda and Kriol Star at the Playoffs in South Africa.
The unbeaten Nairobi City Thunder recorded back-to-back victories against Stanbic 77-75 and NBK 62-48 in the BAL lead.
The team which will depart tomorrow to Kigali.
