Former champions Morocco has toppled Kenya from the top of pool A following their victory against former champions Angola at the ongoing Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) played at the Nyayo stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
Morocco, popularly called the Atlas Lions, won the title in 2018 and 2020, defeated Angola, also called Black Antelopes 2-0 with Imad Riahi scoeing for the winners in the first half before an on-goal by Angolan Joaquim Balanga to make it 2-0 in the tournament that features players plying their trade in their domestic leagues.
The highly rated morocco is looking to extend their 13-match unbeaten run in the competition under coach Tarik Sektioui.
Morocco will next face Kenya, while Angola take on Zambia
