Sylvia Chelangat won the third bronze medal for Kenya at the World under 20 athletics championships in Kasarani stadium.
The medal in 400m women was won in 52:23 seconds behind Nigerian Imaobong Nse Uko winning gold when she timed 51:55 seconds and Polish international Kornelia Lesiewicz for silver in 51:97 seconds.
In men’ Kennedy Kimeu finished last in the one lap race with the season best of 46:51 seconds.
Anthony Pesela (44:58 seconds) from Botswana followed by Mexico’s Luis Aviles Ferreiro for silver in 44:95 and Antonie Mathys Nortje going home with bronze in 45:32.
