Chepngeno and Rop lead 1-2 podium finish for Kenyans at Roma-Ostia half marathon

Kenyans Ludwin Chepngeno and Gideon Rop were the winners of today’s Roma-Ostia half marathon held today in Italy.

Chepngeno won the women’s title at 68:20 by leading fellow Kenyan Monica Chebet to second at 69:07 with Isabella caposieno coming third at 76:45.

In men, it was Rop who cut the tape in 58:49 ahead of compatriot Cosmas Boi in 59:27 as Soufiyan Bouqantar completed the podium in 60:37.
