Faith Chepng’etich Kipyegon and Winny Chebet qualified into the semifinals in the 1,500m in the ongoing IAAF World Athletics Championships at Khalifa International Stadium in Doha Qatar.
The defending champion Chepngetich finished second in heat 1 timing 4:03.93 behind Sifan Hassan from the Netherlands who won 10,000m gold medal in day two of the championships. Hassan timed 4:03.88.
Another Kenyan Chebet also finished second in heat two timing 4:08.36 behind Morocco’s Rababe Arafi in 4:08.32
