Former world cross country champion Irene Chepet Cheptai will be set to defend her World 10km Bengaluru title set for Sunday morning in India.
The reigning Commonwealth Games 10,000m silver medalist won the title last year and will be the start at the start list in Bengaluru.
After quitting track last year, the 31 year-old holds the course record at 30:35 and will be up against 2019 World Cross Country silver medallist, Dera Dida from Ethiopia and the 2019 African Games 10,000m champion, Tsehay Gemechu also from Ethiopia.
