Former world champion Timothy Cheruiyot will renew his rivalry with Africa 1,500m champion Abel Kipsang at tonight’s Lausanne Diamond League in Switzerland.
The two who have been challenging each other across the world, will be lining up in the 1,500m where Cheruiyot will be competing in his third meeting after finishing second in Doha and third at the Prefontaine Classic while Kipsang the world indoor bronze medalist ran in Doha and Birmingham, won the African title and was fourth at the Prefontaine Classic
Fresh from winning the Commonwealth Games 5,000m, former world under 20 5,000m champion Beatrice Chebet will be taking on the reigning World Championship bronze medalist Margaret Chelimo.
But focus will be in the 3,000m steeplechase where Commonwealth Games 3,000m steeplechase champion Abraham Kibiwot take on former World Under-20 Champion Amos Serem and former world under 20 3,000m steeplechase champion Leonard Bett, Lawrence Kemboi and Wilberforce Chemiat.
