Kenya will open the Barthes Cup against Uganda on April 22nd at the Nyayo stadium at 4:30pm according to the fixtures released by the Kenya Rugby Union.
The Kenya under-20 rugby team will be chasing to reclaim the title they lost to Zimbabwe last year.
Kenya and Uganda battle winners will be facing off with the winner between the reigning champions Namibia or Zambia in the semi-finals
Defending champions Zimbabwe will open the busy day against Ivory Coast at 9 am with the 2021 losing finalists Madagascar taking on Tunisia at 2 pm.
Chipu reached the semifinals last year, losing 16-5 to Namibia while Zimbabwe made light work of Madagascar in a 32-3 win in the second semi.
Kenya, under Curtis Olago, settled for the bronze medal after obliterating Madagascar 49-15 in the third-place playoff.
The tournament will be played on a knockout basis with the semi-finals on April 26 and the final on April 30.
