Christmas came in early for Hassan Ali Nanu when he won the 2017 Christmas golf day at Nakuru’s golf course on Saturday.
Nanu carded a solid 44 stable ford points to claim the Christmas title with 48 hours to Christmas celebrations on Monday.
Playing handicap 16 on home turf, registered 23 points in the opening nine before adding 21 in the last nine to claim the title ahead of Hungi Trevor.
Handicap 23, Trevor carded 41 points (23, 18) to finish second before David Bwana completed the podium positions with 39 points.
Handicap 18 golfer played 17 points in the inward nine before adding a whooping 22 in the second.
With 22 points in the championships, Danson Kiragu was the first nine winner while Daijit Hunjan was the second nine winner with 20 points.
