Former Eldoret Lady captain Esther Chumo will be leading four other ladies at the weekend’s Manhester Salver, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series at the par 71 Eldoret Golf club.
The three day highly anticipated tournament will tee off on November 1st to 3rd attracting 78 elite golfers to battle for the title.
After missing Kericho tournament last weekend with Ugandan Titus Ekwong winning, title champion Michael Karanga will be in action to defend the title he won last year at the nine hole course.
Chumo will be in action alongside Nandi Bears Faith Chemutai, Sarah Nyareru of Karen, and Eldoret pair of Jane Koech and Linda Kangogo.
The tournament, which has attracted 100 amateurs, have only five ladies who will be battling for the crown in the crowded field with men.
Karanga, who is also the series leader will be chasing to retain the title after setting the course record last year when he fired five under 208 to win the title.
The tournament, which is recognized as a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event, promises to deliver thrilling competition and exceptional talent having delivered different winners in the last 3 previous events.
