Reigning champions KCB Rugby headlines the Kabeberi 7s, the 5th leg of National Rugby 7s curicuit set for next month at RFUEA Grounds, Nairobi.
The bankers, who have won two meetings, just like national champions Strathmore Leos leads pool A alongside Prinsloo hosts Nakuru, the Nairobi University side Mean Machine, and Driftwood hosts Mombasa that will be played between September 6th and 7th.
KCB won Deriftwood 7s as well as Christie 7s in Mombasa and Nairobi respectively, finished second at Embu 7s last weekend and another second finish at Prisloo, losing to Leos in the two events.
Second placed Leos won Prinsloo and Nakuru and last weekend’s Embu 7s leads pool B that has Kenya Harlequin, hosts Mwamba RFC, and invited Impala Saracens.
After reaching semifinals for the first time in Embu, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) lead pool C with Daystar Falcons, Catholic Monks, and newly promoted Homeboyz .
Sitting third on the log is Menengai Oilers who will face off with cousins Kabras Sugar, Embu RFC, and Kisumu RFC.
