Premier league returnees Nairobi City Stars whipped former champions Mathare United in the FKF Premier league match played today at the Kasarani stadium.
Bolton Omwenga and Rodgers Okumu were on target for City Stars in the 2-0 win over slum boys to climb to the 8th position on the log.
Omwenga broke the deadlock on the 27th minute before substitute Okumu sealed the victory for the stars.
City Stars will take on in-form AFC Leopards on Saturday at the same venue.
