Nairobi City Stars whipped former Kenya Premier Champions in today’s Kenya Premier league match played at the Ruaraka Grounds, Nairobi.
The league Returnees City thumbed Sofapaka 3-0 in a tense match that two players from each side were red-carded
Peter Opiyo, Davis Agesa and Salim ‘Shitu’ Abdaĺlah scored a goal each for City Stars.
Opiyo converted from the spot to hand winners a 1-0 lead in the third minute before Agesa doubled the score in the 16th minute and Abdallah sealed the victort in the 37th minute.
Both teams were forced to complete the match with ten men after and Sofapaka Aigba Muobarak was red carded in 45th minute while Stars Sven Yida was handed the red card in the 83rd minute.
