Cliff Owuor: Kenya Morans out to dominate Fiba AfroCan Championships

Cliff Owuor, the Kenya Morans, national men’s basketball team head coach will be leading his charges as they focus to win the Fiba AfroCan Championships set for this weekend in Luanda, Angola.

Kenya, who won silver at the inaugural champoionships in 2019 in the hands of Democratic Republic of Congo 82-61 will be chasing to improve.

Kenya, DR Congo, Angola and Morocco gained direct entry to the Luanda show by virtue of reaching the semifinals in Bamako.

“We had a friendly game against Equity Bank Dumas on Wednesday and I am impressed with the boys’ performance. The last time the two teams met, it was a two-point game,” noted Owuor.

Team captain Victor Bosire said the team has a good blend of youth and experience and was brimming with confidence ahead of the nine-day championship.

“The confidence is very high and the new players are bringing a lot to the team which is the key,” he said.
