Shujaa, the Kenya’s sevens rugby team has shifted focus to the 2018 Commonwealth Games to be staged in Gold Coast Australia.
With their good showing at Vancouver sevens, the 6th leg of world rugby series in Canada where Kenya finished second after losing the final match to Fiji, the Innocent Simiyu led charges will be walking their way to the Australia to face rugby giants.
Simiyu on his second season with the Kenya team, said he has set his eyes on the podium positions.
“We need to hit our performance targets and once we do, then we stand a chance to win a medal. It is a season’s goal to medal at the Commonwealth Games,” said Simiyu.
