Olympic 3,000m steeplechase champion Conseslus Kipruto is safe following Tuesday night accident along Eldoret Kapsabet road near Eldoret International Airport.
The accident occurred after the Kipruto’s vehicle hit a moving tractor from behind damaging the front wheel, with the tractor rear tire bursting rendering it immovable.
The world 3,000m steeplechase champion, together with the occupants of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
A visit at the scene of accident, the parts of the damaged parts can be seen, implicating the impact of the accident.
Police officers towed the vehicle into Langas police station.
Efforts to get Kipruto’s story did not bear any fruit as his phone went unanswered before publishing the story.
