Daniel Kipkore Kibet won the 2019 Istanbul marathon title with a course record on Sunday 3rd.
Kenyan athlete won the title in 2:09.44 ahead of Ethiopia’s Yitayal Atnafu Zerihun in second after clocking 2:9:57 and Peter Kwemoi Ndorobo of Kenya was third at 2:10:9.
Ethiopia’s Hirut Tibebu won the women’s title at 2:23:40 ahead of compatriot Tigist Abayechew in 2:24:15 as Kenyan Maurine Chepkemoi came third at 2:24:16.
