Dates for Eldoret Falcons elections set

Former Kenya Women Premier league side Eldoret Falcons officials are assuring delegates that the planned clubs elections will be credible and adherence to Sports Act.

Led by interim chairman Joshua Ariko, the elections shall be held on 17^th December after registering the club with Sports Registrar, where all the officials have been working as interim officials.

“The Club wishes to inform the members of the public of the Eldoret Falcons election. The election shall be held on 17^th December 2022 pursuant to provisions of our constitution. The Club wishes to encourage members of the public to come forward and participate in this election either directly or indirectly,” said Ariko.

He noted that the last time they had elections was in 2019 where he was elected the chairman and called for credible elections.

“We want credible elections since we shall be voting for the first time under the Sports Act. We are also sending a notice to the Sports Registrar over the same. The Club would like to reiterate its commitment in holding free and fair elections to that effect an electoral board and appeals   committees will be constituted. The club wishes to encourage voters and football stakeholders to participate in this democratic process

He added that the election shall be held pursuant with laws of Kenya, sports act 2013, sports regulations 2016, Eldoret Falcons Football Club constitution and electoral code.

The positions to be competed for are the chairman, vice chairman, secretary, assistant secretary, Treasurer, and organizing secretary.

Currently, Ariko is the serving chairman, assisted by Caroline Changowony, Lynn Mutheu as secretary assisted by Joshua Wafula, Fanuna Abdi as treasurer and James Ahela as Organizing Secretary.
