Limuru Open golf tournament Robinson Owiti started his title defence on a high note taking an overnight lead ahead of tomorrow’s final round as Limuru Open, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) event that teed off today on par 72 Limuru golf course.
The Vet lab golfer has taken a two shot lead after he fired one over par 145 in the two rounds played today in the 54 hole event. He started on a high note powering a over under par 71 in the opening round but played two over par 74 in the second round to enjoy an overnight two shots lead over Simon Njogu.
Njogu from Great Rift Valley sunk two over par 74 in the first round and reduced with a shot in the second round for a total of three over par 147 before home golfer Joan Kariuki coming third with four over 148.
Taking on home course, Kariuki managed identical two over 74 as well as Vet Lab’s Mike Kisia (75, 730 and reigning KAGC champion Samuel Njoroge from Railways was in 5th position after he played +6 of identical three over 75.
