World under 20 3,000m steeplechase champion Edmund Serem and double Commonwealth Games 3,000m steeplechase champion Abraham Kibiwot have qualified to compete at the finals at the World Athletics championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Serem won heat 1 after clocking 8:29.97 to secure a spot in the final while Kibiwot, who finished second in Heat 2, ensuring double Kenyan representation in the medal round of the signature steeplechase event.
