Reigning World under 20 3,000m steeplechase champion Edmund Serem will be making his debut at the Diamond League set for Xiamen Diamond league in Chin come April 26th 2025.
Serem, the young brother of Amos Serem will be seeking his maiden appearance at the golden label athletics event in the opening leg of the Diamond League.
He will be competing with compatriots Abraham Kibiwot, Simon Kiprop Koech and Wilberforce Chemiat Kones.
Three time Olympic 1,500m champion Faith Kipyegon will be the only Kenyan in the 1,000m race that has the top runners especially from Ethiopians.
Double Olympic Games champion in the 5,000m and 10,000m champion Beatrice Chebet will be another sole Kenyan in the 5,000m.
Africa’s 100m record holder Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala will be sole runner from Kenya in the 100m.
