Vet lab’s Edwin Mudanyi will be seeking back to back title as Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) hunt for points heads to par 71 Eldoret Golf club.
The two day event, playing on 36 holes on Saturday and Sunday will be for the first time be sponsored by the County Government of Uasin Gishu.
Talking to Dailysport.co.ke on Wednesday evening where he is playing at the Safari Tour championships in Limuru ahead of Kenya Open Golf championships, Mudanyi said he will be trying his level to defend his title.
“I will traveling to Eldoret for the title defence. I know it will be challenging but I will do my best,” said Mudanyi.
The reigning KAGC champions won last year’s meeting, fired two over par 144 to claim the title, taking it from his club mate Robinson Owiti who won in 2016.
He played level 71 in the first round and added two over 73 in the second round of 36 holes to claim the title before going ahead to claim the overall title.
