Former Olympic Games 5,000m bronze medalist Edwin Soi will be seeking to secure good results when he lines up at the Hamburg Half marathon set for Sunday June 30th in Germany.
Soi, who transitioned from track to road running said that he will be using his vast experience in search of the title, the way he won Bogota marathon in 2022.
“I will be using my experience in the race after coming from track to marathon and other road running,” said Soi.
The former La Rochelle marathon champion said that competing in such races will make me compete in world marathon majors across the world.
“These are races are very difficult because of hilly areas and weather patterns that make it hard to to win. However, I am well prepared for the challenges,” said Soi who enjoys 1:00.24 as personal best in the 21km race.
He will be up against compatriot Vincent Kimutai who has 1:00.41 as well Chile’s Carls Martin Diaz and Moroccan Ahmed El Hassouni.
