Eldoret Youth will be hosting Kangemi AllStars in the 4th fixture of the National Super League (NSL) to be played at Eldoret Showground on Wednesday.
After erecting perimeter fence on the pitch, it will be the first time Eldoret Youth is playing from home their home matches after they played their one home match at Kericho Green stadium.

With six points from three matches played, head coach Peter Kihamba is optimistic that they will deliver good results on the final whistle.
“We are playing at home and we shall enjoy home ground and fans. We will not be travelling again on our home fans. This has motivated players and we expect them to perform well,” said Kihamba.
Coming from Eldoret, the team is in fourth position behind league leaders Wazito FC who were relegated from Kenya Premier league (KPL) this season, following in second position by newly promoted side Shabana and former KPL side Ushuru who failed for the second time to be reinstated back to KPL after losing two successful play-offs against Thika United in 2017 and Nakumatt now Mount Kenya United in 2018.
Kihamba has high hopes in the players after their win against former KPL side Nairobi City Stars over the weekend.
“We have erected perimeter fence on the play-ground ready for the match. Being the first match at ‘home’ we want to play our best football and earn maximum points,” said Kihamba, the former Kenya Cooperative Creameries (KCC) striker.
Eldoret Youth recovered from 3-1 loss to FC Talanta and won two successful matches against St. Joseph’s(2-0) home away from home at Kericho Green stadium and beat Nairobi City Stars 5-1 on Friday to tally their points to 6.
“Though we lack dressing rooms among other facilities but we will be using the pavilion as our dressing rooms. The facility will give opportunity for fans to turn up for the match,”said Kihamba.
He added that the NSL is difficult and very competitive but his players are ready for the challenge, playing quality football.
“The League is difficult to handle but we are here to play good football. The players are ready following their victory against Nairobi City Stars, which we were sure we were going to lose but after the final whistle, we were relieved,” added Kihamba adding the camp is in a high spirit.
