Eliud Kipchoge: Records are set and broken

Double Olympic Marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge believes that world records are there to be set and broken at the same.

Speaking over the weekend during the Great Chepsaita Cross country registration drive, the former world marathon record holder said that people are eager to improve on what they have been doing and setting records is one of them.

“The future of marathon is great and sweet. At the moment we have to inspire another generation which is eager to run fast, win races and go for training. I want to run to inspire the next generation to make people love sports and because sports is health,” said the four time London marathon champion.

He said that his mission at the event was to promote education, talent and encourage future generation.

“I had two world records and I want to do more and now I want to inspire humanity. I have a foundation that deals with conservation of environment education and health to make our country is green and better. In education, we are trying to build schools libraries and Kindergarten,” he said.
