Olympic Games 800m champion Emmanuel wanyonyi has been enlisted to compete at the Sirikwa Classic Cross Championships set for Saturday February 22nd at the Lobo Village in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
The world 800 m silver medalists, Wanyonyi is among the top athletes who have confirmed their participation.
Last year, Wanyonyi won the 2km loop and will be returning to chase his title after winning the Athletics Kenya National championships title two weeks ago at the Eldoret Sports Club.
Winners of the 10 km races will be rewarded 6,000 US dollars, silver medalists will bag 5,000 USD, and bronze medalists will pocket 4,000 USD.
