Equity Bank pulled a surprise to beat Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to book for Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National semifinal slot set for Mombasa in two weeks.
After 1-1 draw on Friday and Saturday, the final best of three was played today with Equity winning 2-1 to qualify.
In their third encounter today, the bankers won 3-2 at 22-25, 29-27, 20-25, 25-22 and 15-13 to seal the final slot and will be joining Kenya Prisons, General Service Unit (GSU) and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) into the semifinals.
