Ethiopia shines as Kenya fail to win under 20 women medal at World Cross Country in USA

For the second time, Kenya failed to win the World under 20 Cross country title after Ethiopians dominated in the race at Tallahassee in the USA.

Kenyans, which missed to win a medal during last edition in Belgrade, Serbia missed the medal when Sheila Jebet settled for 4^th at 19:45 behind Ethiopians Marta Alemayo (19:28), Asayech Ayichew (19:32) and Robe Dida (19:38) for an all podium sweep

Today, the same script was retained when Alemayo defended her title in 18:52 followed by compatriot Wosane Asefa (19:18) then Ugandan Charity Cherop completing the podium at 19:19.

Kenyan Cynthia Chepkurui, the national champion came 4th in 19:43.
