Double Olympic Games 1,500m champion Faith Kipyegon won her 4th world championships title at the ongoing world Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Kipyegon won the title, leading 1-2 podium finish for Kenyans when Dorcus Ewoi won silver as Jessica Hull settled for bronze and Winny Chepchirchir coming 4th.
As the world record holder in the 1,500m, Kipyegon crossed the finish line in 3:52.15 with Ewoi coming second at 3:54.92 as Hull denied a podium sweep for Kenya with Diamond League winner Chepchirchir, came fourth in a personal best of 3:55.25
Kipyegon moved to the front from the off and was never passed, despite Chepchirchir attempting to do so on the last lap but getting nudged out of the way by Hull in the process.
