Three time Olympic Games champion Faith Kipyegon broke her own world 1500m record at the Oregon Diamond, the Prefontaine Classic in the USA.
The multiple world 1,500m champion set the world record at 3:48.68 to make history shaking off 0.36 second off the record she set in Paris last year.
She beat Ethiopia’s Diribe Welteji, who came at 3:51.44 with Olympic silver medallist and Australian Jessica Hull coming third in 3:52.67 as Olympic bronze medallist Georgia Hunter Bell came 5th in 3:54.76.
