The reigning Commonwealth Games 100m champion Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala stormed into victory at the Athletics South Africa (ASA) Grand Prix 2 held today in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Onyamala, the Africa 100m record holder ran to victory at 10.08 ahead of home boy Tsebo Matsoso and Bradley Nkoana who came second at 10.12 10.16 seconds to round up the podium as South Africa’s Sinesipho Dambile came 4th in 10.30 as compatriot Mark Odhiambo placed fifth in 10.30 seconds.
Last week, Omanyala failed to secure the title after finishing third in 10.22 seconds behind Karabo Letebele and fellow South African Emile Erasmus, at the ASA Grand Prix I in Pretoria last Wednesday.
