Francis Kipkoech Bowen won the second gold for Kenya at the ongoing World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships at the Gainesville in Florida, USA.
Bowen won the 3,000m 50 years category in men, the second gold after Peter Kamau Mwangi won gold in the shot put men at 40-44 years yesterday.
Also today, Ibrahim settled for silver, the second medal for the country
Bowen won gold after crossing the finish line first at 8:36.23 ahead of Gregory Mitchell (9:07.85) for silver and Spaniard Santiago De La Fuente Martin settling for bronze in 9:14.14.
Competing in heat 2, which was the fastest of all.
